When Arsenal Football Club asked us to help find a replacement partner for JVC it was to be an historic occasion. JVC had been the sponsor of Arsenal for over 17 years, the longest shirt sponsorship in football history at the time. We had great pleasure to introduce Sega Dreamcast as the replacement £10million a year sponsor in a three year agreement. Sega went on to sponsor the shirts of St Etienne and Deportivo La Coruna.

SMG were delighted to broker a 2 year partnership between Instaforex and SerieA team Palermo FC that started in the 2015/16 season.

LAS PALMAS

SMG united new forex brokr ForexMart with La Liga team UD Las Palmas in a two year deal that started in the 2015/16 season.

QPR

SMG brokered the front of shirt sponsorship with QPR for betting exchange brand Smarkets for the start of the 2016/17 season. Last season SMG united Smarkets with QPR as sponsor of the Training kit and back of shirt. SMG are delighted to see the development of the partnership continue.

LAND-FX

QPR

SMG have secured the Training kit sponsorship of QPR by forex broker Land-FX. Having recently secured its UK FCA licence two year this deal allows Land-FX to promote itself in the UK and other key trading markets.

FXPRIMUS

MANCHESTER CITY FC

SMG negotiated a three and a half year partnership between FXPRIMUS and Manchester City Football Club which started in January 2015. The wide-ranging agreement sees FXPRIMUS become the club’s official online FX Partner and acquire extensive marketing and promotional rights such as presence across the club’s multi language digital channels.

24OPTION

LONDON TAXIS

When 24option opened their London office in 2015 what better way to announce their arrival than with a London wide taxi campaign. SMG brokered a deal that saw hundreds of iconic black taxis sporting the 24option branding in high visibility city locations.

OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS

With France being a key target market for 24option, SMG identified a number of opportunities in La Ligue. We were able to secure a partnership with one of the biggest clubs in France, Olympique Lyonnais. The partnership includes branding on the shirt and high visibility LED at all La Ligue matches. This was the first ever binary options sponsorship in the French market, another first for 24option and SMG.

EUROSPORT

SMG were tasked to find a pan-European media platform for the highly creative 24option television commercials. Following an extensive review of the market SMG negotiated a campaign on Eurosport which provided a one-stop broadcast to over 54 countries. The TV spots were translated into French, Italian, Spanish and German and placed in high profile sports events across the summer of 2015.

BORIS BECKER

When 24option were seeking an iconic ambassador to launch the brand in the German market, SMG identified tennis legend Boris Becker as the ideal candidate. 24option have since engaged further with Boris Becker to produce television commercials featuring the legend to be broadcast on pan European TV.

ASTON VILLA FC

In 2012/3 SMG brokered an agreement for Dafabet to become the shirt sponsor of Aston Villa in a two-year agreement in the same year that Dafabet was ranked 21st in the prestigious eGaming Review Power 50 list of online gaming operators.

INSTAFOREX

MARUSSIA F1

SMG’s have acted for Instaforex in a number of high profile sports sponsorship agreements. The first was the official partnership agreement with Marussia Formula1 which ran for two years. The deal saw the InstaForex visual identity appearing prominently on the Marussia F1 Team’s car at Malaysian and Singapore Grand Prix. Instaforex also benefited from many opportunities to film behind the scenes to generate viral content for its websites.

INSTAFOREX

DRAGON RACING

SMG brokered a partnership between InstaForex and the Dragon Racing Formula-E Team which saw the Dragon Racing cars sporting prominent InstaForex branding on the rear wing at three key races during the partnership. The first ever Moscow ePrix that was held in early June 2015 was the first time the brand was seen on the cars. In addition the drivers also carried InstaForex branding at races in Berlin and London.

IG CAPITAL MARKETS

THE APPRENTICE ASIA

Sports Media Gaming brokered a high profile and original agreement for leading broker IG Markets to become one of the main sponsors of The Apprentice Asia which aired on AXN across Asia in 2013. With Tony Fernandes as the Chairman of the Apprentice, IG featured in an entire episode of the programme with the contestants trading on IG Markets software.

ICM CAPITAL

NOTTINGHAM FOREST FC

ICM Capital were seeking an initial entry into the football sponsorship market that provided exposure into UAE markets. Nottingham Forest provided a key opportunity since all their matches are broadcast live throughout the UAE on Bein Sports with the Kuwaiti ownership of the club. SMG negotiated a back of shirt sponsorship for the 2015 season.

BANC DE BINARY

LIVERPOOL FC

Sports Media Gaming are delighted to have brokered an extensive agreement between Liverpool Football Club and Banc de Binary. The binary options company became the official binary options partner in Europe, Australia, South Africa and Canada.

DREAMCAST

SMG have enjoyed a relationship with Premier League side Fulham FC for over 10 years. Having brokered two consecutive shirt sponsorships in the form of dabs.com and Pipex, SMG has further delivered sponsorship deals with the likes of UK Betting and more recently Betbutler.

RATIONAL FX

BIRMINGHAM CITY FC

SMG acted quickly before the start of the 2011/12 football season to provide Birmingham City a shirt sponsor in the form of Rational FX. SMG were able to use its extensive contacts in the market to find Birmingham a sponsor in time for the start of the season with a fast growing and credible brand partner.

888 POKER

GEORGES ST PIERRE

Since online gaming was effectively banned in the US, 888 was looking for key marketing and sponsorship initiatives in other key markets. SMG were able to identify a unique sponsorship opportunity in Canada where online gaming remains legal with the endorsement of 888.com by two times sports personality of the year Georges St Pierre. The deal sees 888.com joining other high profile sponsors such as Affliction clothing, Under Armour and Mission Skin Care. The agreement was brokered in conjunction with Creative Artists Agency in New York.

PARTYGAMMON

We developed the concept for and successfully organised the world’s first million dollar backgammon tournament to promote the launch of Partygammon. The event which took place in Atlantis Resort, Bahamas in 2007 saw 128 of the world’s top players participate in an internationally televised tournament with the winner taking an incredible $600,000, more than ten times the biggest single prize in international backgammon to this day.

BETBUTLER + TLC88.COM

SUNDERLAND FC

SMG have brought to Sunderland two very high profile betting partners in the form of Betbutler and TLC88.com which is an Asian focussed betting brand, part of Welton Play Holdings. Sunderland was selected under guidance from SMG for the first club to promote this new brand.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Further to introducing PlayStation to their first ever sports sponsorship with the UEFA Champions League (which remains in place over 15 years later) we have worked with PlayStation on sports strategy around European football and have enjoyed bringing this revolutionary brand into the world of sports sponsorship.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

SMG has been responsible for introducing two of Tottenham Hotspur’s most lucrative shirt sponsorships in the form of Thomson Holidays which was the holiday brand’s first ever use of sports sponsorship and also Mansion.com which became the club’s biggest ever shirt sponsor.

DIAL A PHONE

MIDDLESBOROUGH FC

SMG introduced Dial a Phone to a two year sponsorship of Premier League football team, Middlesbrough FC which allowed them to activate their high profile press advertising in the UK tabloid newspapers.
